The Adventure

We took the kids to my parents for the night, so we could go to a Valentines party with friends. After the party @11:30 pm Jon asked me if I wanted to go on an adventure. SO we packed up the car and headed down to San Diego to camp on the beach. Since it was freezing and the tide was high, we slept in the car. We woke up early 5:30, Jon surfed, I peeded, I mean played in the sand, and then we hurried off to the temple. Great adventure Jonny!

Sleeping in the car

early morning surf

I'm at the beach!

Danger??
This is why...
Shark bite out of a washed up Sealion
There were no toliets, I used that piece of seeweed
Jon changing for the temple
We made it! Look how pretty!

Holy Cow. I'm dying. This is the coolest trip ever and I'm so jealous. It's not easy doing that kind of stuff these days but always worth it... The kind of adventures that you'll remember forever. Seaweed and all.

Not so interested in surfing that morning. I think the cold did it to me. Could be the shark infested waters...hee hee J/K. No, I need a slow warm wave to get me motivated in my old age.

Now that is an adventure that I would expect from only you and Jon - I love it, very crazy, very cool and very cold! Glad it was fun!

WOW! You're just a regular blogger now...I haven't checked in with you for a while!
What a great adventure. My favorite picture? The one of Jon in his wetsuit with his church clothes hanging next to him. Work hard, play hard!

Geesh. I don't even know you guys, but I am totally jealous. That looks like such an adventurous/romantic and spontaneous thing to do. If only they had a beach like that in Utah, I would grab my hubby and do the same thing. I hope you don't mind comments from random people (I am actually a friend of a friend who loves your blog!!) ;)

Susan i love your blog!!! I love that it is reality and not what you want people to "Believe" that your life is. Many blogs that i see today seem to be so full of moms trying to "create" a moment for there blog instead enjoying and creating moments for their family. Thanks for inspiring me.
